Kanu Heart Foundation celebrates this years’ World Heart Day in a grand style as the foundation is organizing a duo event in Nigeria and London respectively in commemoration of the WHD.
The Nigeria event will hold on 26th & 27th September, 2018 while the London event will hold on 30th September, 2018.
The Nigeria event will kick start on September 26, 2018 and will feature The Inspired Nurses of Nigeria (a selfless Organisation of Nigeria Nurses) that will undertake the responsibility of screening participants on Blood pressure, Body Mass Index, Sugar level, HIV / AIDS, Hepatitis / Echo test and a lecture by renowned cardiologist on this year’s World Heart Day Themed “Make Your Heart a Promise”
As the world heart day is aimed at creating awareness on cardiovascular diseases and healthy heart living, the first day of the event will be used to conduct a free screening on participants to ascertain their health conditions; and an interactive lecture on how to live a healthy heart living.
The panacea for a healthy living is knowing the status of your health and that is what kanu heart Foundation in association with the Inspired Nurses of Nigeria are poised to achieve on the first day of the event.
The second day of the event will feature a 4 km walk- a healthy heart living through exercise to keep the heart beating.
The 4km walk is going to gather a massive turnout of participants with lots of fun as the personalities that will grace the event include Papilo Nwankwo Kanu and his esteemed friends, Inspired Nurses of Nigeria, KHF beneficiaries, Patients, Youth Coppers, Sportsmen & women, Market women association etc.
It is an opportunity for you to mingle with famous football icons, artistes, without any restriction.
The event will take place at Grays Cardiac Centre, n0 6, Ladipo Bateye Street, Ikeja- Lagos. Time is 8:30am – 5:00pm daily.
The 4km walk tagged “WALK FOR THE HEART” starts from the venue – through Oba Akinjobi Street to Ikeja Round about and back.
The final celebration of the 2018 world heart day by kanu heart foundation will take place in the UK at the Barnet football Club Stadium -the Hive Camaros’ Avenue London on September 30, 2018.
The event will feature a charity football match between Premier League All Stars masters and African All Stars Masters.
Masters Football, a London globally recognised Sports event management outfit is the organiser of the football charity match that will showcase the prowess of Premier League All Stars masters and their African counterpart All Stars Masters.
The charity football match tagged “PETROLEX KANU CUP 2018” is aimed at raising funds for the Kanu Heart Foundation that specialise in providing live saving heart treatment for children and adult patients in Nigeria and across Africa and building a 35 million cardiac centre.
