2012-03-21 - PAPILO: LONDON OLYMPIC TORCHBEARER 2012
Nwankwo Kanu is Africa's most decorated football player, with a large collection of accolades from Premier Leagues across Europe and FIFA competition (to mention a few); and is giving back to the African continent, through the Foundation. He has been officially nominated as one of the Torchbearers for the London Olympic which starts in July. The Torchbearers include those that were successful through the public nomination processes run by LOCOG and the Presenting Partners, Coca Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung. Each Torchbearer has received confirmation of the day and in which community they will be carrying the Flame. An average of 115 Torchbearers a day will carry the Flame during its 8,000-mile journey around the UK before it arrives at the Olympic Stadium on 27 July at the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Its a rare honour for us all lets facilitate with our very own. Stay tuned to this website for more details on the games.
